Dubai Tennis Championships 2025: All you need to know about prize money and points on offer

Jasmine Paolini is the defending champion.
The Dubai Tennis Championships 2025 is a professional ATP 500 event on the 2025 ATP Tour and a WTA 1000 tournament on the 2025 WTA Tour. Both events will take place at the Aviation Club Tennis Center in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Following the conclusion of the WTA 1000 Qatar Open, which saw a breathtaking display of tennis as well as several upsets, the action now shifts focus to the WTA Dubai Tennis Championships. A formidable lineup is set to grace the Dubai hardcourts, including world numbers one and two Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek.
Aryna Sabalenka, who was stunned in Qatar and failed to complete a rare three-peat in Australia at the start of the year will be desperate to get back to winning ways. On the other hand, Swiatek will be disappointed after seeing her sensational record in Doha ended at the hands of Jelena Ostapenko, who leads Swiatek 5-0 in head-to-head matches.
In the previous edition, Iga Swiatek enjoyed a dominant run until the semifinals where she fell to Anna Kalinskaya in straight sets. On the other hand, Sabalenka was defeated by Donna Vekic in the first round.

Some other big names set to feature are Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina, Qinwen Zheng, Jessica Pegula, Emma Navarro, and defending champion Jasmine Paolini, all on the hunt for their first title of the 2025 calendar year.
Coco Gauff will aim to improve on her performance from last year, where she fell to Kalinskaya in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, Zheng has struggled since the start of the new season, but given her talent, it’s only a matter of time before the Chinese star regains her rhythm. She will be hoping to do just that at the 2025 Dubai Championships.
Elena Rybakina, who made the quarterfinals last year before retiring due to injury, is currently embroiled in controversy surrounding her former coach. Her disappointing loss to Iga Swiatek in Doha cost her a spot in the WTA top five, and the Kazakh will need to deliver her best tennis in Dubai to reestablish herself as a serious contender.

Jessica Pegula, who recently broke into the top-five WTA rankings after Rybakina’s defeat will hope to put on a good show in Dubai, after missing the previous edition due to a neck injury. The pressure will also be on 2024 champion Jasmine Paolini, who will be defending 1000 points in Doha. The Italian was arguably the most improved player in 2024 but her start to the new year has been far from ideal.
The finalist from the 2024 edition, Anna Kalinskaya, is set to miss the event this year, due to an undisclosed injury. Along with her, Australian Open winner Madison Keys, Danielle Collins and Barbora Krejčíková have withdrawn from the WTA Dubai Tennis Championships 2025 tournament due to injuries.
