The Eastbourne Open 2025 offers players one final chance to regain their form on grass.

The Eastbourne Open 2025 is a combined men’s and women’s professional tennis tournament played on outdoor grass courts. Marking its 50th edition for the women and 14th for the men, the event is part of the 2025 WTA Tour as a WTA 250 tournament, having been downgraded from its previous WTA 500 status, and an ATP 250 event on the 2025 ATP Tour.

The tournament will run from June 23 to 28, 2025, at the historic Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club in Eastbourne, United Kingdom. The female category will witness defending champion and World No. 16, Daria Kasatkina, lead the charge, as the 28-year-old returns to defend her crown and opens her campaign on Monday against World No.  44 Lulu Sun of New Zealand.

Reigning Wimbledon champion and World No. 17, Barbora Krejcikova, will also be in action, hoping to find some form ahead of her title defense at the prestigious Grand Slam, alongside the explosive World No. 19, Jelena Ostapenko, who takes on Britain’s Sonay Kartal, a debutante on the Eastbourne grass courts. Focus will also hover over home favourite Emma Raducanu, who will face Ann Li in the opening round.

On the men’s side, US Open finalist Taylor Fritz headlines the field, having already sealed a grass title in the Boss Open, defeating Alexander Zverev in the final. Fellow American Tommy Paul adds further firepower to the draw. Young British talent Jacob Fearnley also enters the spotlight, fresh off his quarter-final appearance in Queen’s Club.

The total prize pool for the ATP Eastbourne International 2024 stands at €756,875 (approx. ₹68.1 lakh), marking a 2.26% increase from last year. The winner will take home €115,165 (approx. ₹10.4 lakh), up 2.3% compared to what Taylor Fritz earned for his 2023 title win. The runner-up will receive a sum of €67,160 (approx. ₹6 lakhs), which is 2.3% higher than the previous edition.

On the women’s side, the 2025 WTA Eastbourne event sees a significant downgrade, with total prize money dropping to $389,000 (approx. ₹3.26 crore), down 57.84% from last year following the event’s reduction from WTA-500 to WTA-250 status. The women’s singles champion will earn $51,330 (approx. ₹43.1 lakh), a 63.85% decrease compared to twelve months ago.
