US Open 2026: Full updated schedule for today (September 11), Day 13

The men’s singles semi-final and women’s doubles final will be held on Friday

Day 13 of the US Open 2026 is stacked with finals business and semi-final drama in equal measure. Defending champion Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus opened the day’s headline acts on Thursday by outlasting USA’s Jessica Pegula in straight sets to reach a third consecutive US Open final, putting her a win away from a historic three-peat.

This was followed by Elena Rybakina’s sensational victory over crowd favourite Coco Gauff. The Kazakh came back from a set down to prevail despite the constant jeering from the crowd.

The new World No. 1 served for the match in the third set, but was broken by the American. However, she got the job done in the next game, breaking Gauff’s serve for the fourth time in the match.

This sets up a blockbuster championship clash between Sabalenka and Rybakina for the US Open title.

Friday opens with the women’s doubles final, as top seeds Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic and USA’s Taylor Townsend chase the only Grand Slam missing from their collection against the unseeded American pairing of Ashlyn Krueger and Robin Montgomery, who reunited five years after winning the US Open girls’ doubles title together and have been the surprise story of the fortnight.

Thereon, the attention turns to the men’s semi-finals. Top seed Alexander Zverev of Germany takes on Russia’s Karen Khachanov, who advanced without playing a full match after Alexander Blockx of Belgium retired injured in the quarter-finals.

The day closes with an all-American clash between Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton, guaranteeing the tournament its first American man in the final since Andy Roddick in 2003.
