Iga Swiatek vs Clara Tauson prediction, betting tips & odds, head-to-head, preview: Wimbledon 2025

Should she win, Iga Swiatek will make the quarter-finals for only the second time in six appearances.
Clara Tauson’s dream 2025 run on grass reached new heights, as she ousted one of the best players on this surface, in Elena Rybakina. The Kazakh had a shocking day on court, wasting plenty of chances, and her miss on match-point perfectly summed up this contest.
With the entire court open, Rybakina somehow managed to hit it long, and that confirmed her exit from the top-15 WTA rankings. Tauson, on the other hand, held her nerve against the hard-hitting Kazakh, and produced a couple of stunning winners in the tie-breaker of the opening set.
Remarkably, the Danish tennis player had never won a match on grass before this season. However, she made a breakthrough by reaching the quarter-finals in Nottingham and followed it with a second-round showing in Homburg.
In London, she has defied expectations, producing impressive results to secure her second consecutive Grand Slam round of 16 appearance, having also reached this stage at Roland Garros just a month ago.

Preview
Iga Swiatek has already displayed one of her best runs at Wimbledon, with back-to-back dominant victories. The Polish marched confidently into the fourth round on the back of a commanding 6-2, 6-3 victory over Danielle Collins. The World No. 8 set the tone early, breaking Collins in the very first game, and claimed the first set comfortably.
Collins, who defeated Swiatek in Rome this year, struggled with consistency, hitting 25 unforced errors and dropping serve again at the start of the second set. Swiatek maintained relentless pressure throughout, sealing the win with a forehand winner on the Americans’ serve to set a date with Denmark’s Clara Tauson.
Tauson and Swiatek faced off previously back in 2022, with the then World No.1 Swiatek staging a comeback from set down to seal the result. Tauson though has proved to be a dangerous customer, and even beat Aryna Sabalenka early in the season, when she reached the finals of Dubai Open.
The pair have not met each other often, and Swiatek, in particular, needs to do her homework about her rival, as Tauson will come out firing. The outcome will not hinge on who hits the ball hardest, but the one who stratergises well, and executes their plan flawlessly on the day of the encounter.

Match prediction
Swiatek enjoyed an impressive 83% win rate on her first serve during her dominant victory over Collins, and maintaining this serving form will be crucial to her title hopes at the All England Club. The Pole possesses superb control and footwork, allowing her to move opponents side to side and test them physically.
Against Clara Tauson, who impressed at the net and used her slices effectively to overcome Rybakina, Swiatek will need to respond with sharp counterattacks. Notably, Tauson showed vulnerability in her service-games against the Kazakh, and Swiatek will look to exploit these gaps with precision and clinical accuracy.
Result: Iga Swiatek will win in three sets.
