Half-yearly report: Top five Indian male tennis players with highest prize money earnings in 2025

ATP 2025 season sees Yuki Bhambri lead India’s prize money chart with doubles dominance.
At the midpoint of the 2025 ATP season, Indian tennis players have made a strong impression on the prize money charts, with five names standing out for their earnings as of June 30, 2025. India is making rapid progress in the doubles event, with new names quickly finding their feet.
However, the struggles in the singles domain continue, raising questions about the AITA’s efforts in popularising the sport and investing in the necessary equipment and infrastructure. On that note, let’s take a look at the top five Indian male players with the highest prize money till mid-year 2025.
Rithvik Bollipalli – ₹67.64 Lakh
Rithvik Bollipalli is fifth on the list with ₹68 lakh in prize money, showcasing his rise in the professional ranks. His performances, mainly in doubles, have contributed to his growing reputation. Bollipalli won his first big competition this year in Chile, alongside Colombian partner Nicolás Barrientos.
The 24-year-old made his Grand Slam main-draw debut at Wimbledon, reaching the second round after a spirited effort.
N Sriram Balaji – ₹78.64 Lakh
N Sriram Balaji has made his mark primarily in doubles, earning almost ₹79 lakh so far in 2025. His consistent showings with Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela have made him a household name in the challenger level, as he now looks to further rise through the ranks.
His second-round appearances at the Australian Open and French Open this year, along with a semi-final outing in Mexico, are his best performances in 2025 so far.
Rohan Bopanna – ₹1.53 Crore

Veteran doubles specialist Rohan Bopanna continues to be a force on the ATP circuit, even at the age of 45 years, earning ₹1.53 crore so far this season. However, things have gone slightly downhill for the Bangalorean upon revisiting his performances this season.
Since the split with Matt Ebden, Bopanna lost the opening round of two Grand Slams, along with a few Round of 16 and quarter-final finishes in other notable tournaments. However, the veteran is yet to qualify for the semi-finals and will hope for a better hard-court swing.
Sumit Nagal – ₹1.71 Crore

Sumit Nagal has been India’s lone warrior in singles for the past few years, as he had a breakthrough season in 2024, when he reached the top 100 ATP rankings.
Contrary to hopes and expectations, Nagal’s situation has worsened significantly, as he is now ranked outside the top 300 and is struggling to qualify for major tournaments. His decline even before he could establish himself is a reminder of how tough it is to thrive at the global level.
Despite no major win or campaign in 2025 so far, the prize money offered by any tournament is much higher for singles as compared to doubles, with his recent first-round qualifier exit at SW19 fetching him nearly 18 lakhs. Nagal finds himself in the second spot of this list, with ₹1.71 Crore.
Yuki Bhambri – ₹2.87 Crore

Yuki Bhambri leads the Indian contingent in prize money this year, collecting an impressive ₹2.87 crore by the end of June. His consistent performances in doubles propelled him past Bopanna to become India’s new World No. 1 this year. Forming a solid partnership with Robert Galloway, the pair reached the third round at Roland Garros and were finalists in the ATP Mallorca Open.
He also captured the Dubai Open title with Alexei Popyrin and made quarterfinal runs at both Indian Wells and Miami. Bhambri was India’s biggest success at Wimbledon, reaching the third round in men’s doubles and the second round at mixed doubles.
The 33-year-old’s steady form has made him a dependable hope for India and a potential Grand Slam contender in the years to come.
