Jack Draper won his maiden ATP Masters title.
Jack Draper stormed to his first ever ATP Masters triumph in Tennis Paradise, defeating Holger Rune in the final, in straight sets. In a dominant performance, the Brit gave Rune absolutely no chance, to script a remarkable change in fortune, after his unfortunate retirement in Australia.
This Indian Wells Open title was always a matter of time for Draper, who has been consistently performing at the ATP circuit, but was yet to take his game to the next level. The 23-year-old began the new season on a disappointing note, as injuries continued to strike him down, but he returned strongly by reaching the final of the Dubai Championships and went one step further in California.

His campaign’s highlight remains his stunning victory over double defending champion, Carlos Alcaraz, along with his dominance over fourth seed Taylor Fritz and 11th seed Ben Shelton, in his route to glory. On the other hand, Rune can hold his head high, and like Draper, is poised for success in the near future.
The latest heroics of Draper and Rune have totally changed ATP rankings, with the Brit displacing Casper Ruud to becoming the new World No. #6, while Rune climbed to the 11th position.
