Jack Draper has been seeded fourth at the Wimbledon 2025 Championships.

British No. 1 Jack Draper broke the electronic advertising hoarding as well as his racket during an outburst following his loss to Jiri Lehecka in the Queen’s Club Championships semi-finals.

The Briton’s optimistic campaign in London ended on an agonising note after he smashed his racket repeatedly on the court. Draper lost to Czechia’s Jiri Lehecka 6-4, 4-6, 7-5. While breaking his racket, it also seemed like the Briton had injured his knee and ankle. Some cuts and bruises were visible on his knee after Draper sat down on the bench.

Nevertheless, after the game, British No. 2 Jacob Fearnley came forward and backed Jack Draper for his frustrated outburst at the Queen’s Club Championships. Fearnley stated that such things can happen because the players had to perform under a lot of pressure.

He said, “Obviously, the players are under a lot of pressure and I’m sure Jack is feeling some pressure, but I think that more has something to do with the fact that he was so close to winning.”

Meanwhile, looking forward to the Wimbledon Championships, Draper is seeded fourth in the competition behind Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Alexander Zverev. The Briton has also arrived at his home Slam, as he would look forward to replicating the success of the US Open at the All England Tennis Club.

Ranked World No. 4, the British tennis star has won only one title this season. His only title came at the Indian Wells Masters, where he defeated the likes of Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Carlos Alcaraz, and Holger Rune.

He also reached the final in Doha and Madrid but eventually lost to Andrey Rublev and Casper Ruud, respectively. With a win/loss record of 28/8 in 2025, the British No. 1 is capable of crafting an upset and putting his name up in the charts alongside Andy Murray.
