Twenty-three-year-old, Jannik Sinner, has reached the fourth round of every major since Wimbledon 2023.

World No #1 Jannik Sinner brushed aside Jiri Lehecka, dropping just three games to reach the fourth round in Roland Garros. The top seed completed the formalities, 6-0, 6-1, 6-2 in just 94 minutes. It was Sinner’s 71st win at Grand Slam singles events. It is the highest tally by an Italian in joint lead with Fabio Fognini in the Open Era.

Sinner is yet to drop a set in the ongoing French Open 2025 as he recorded his win number 15 of the 2025 season and his 19th match win at Roland Garros. The Italian makes the fourth round, his eighth consecutive round of 16 appearance since Wimbledon 2023, where Andrey Rublev awaits. Rublev benefitted from Fils’ injury-related withdrawal from the event. Sinner leads Rublev 6-3 in their head-to-head.

Top seed Sinner is on a possible collision course with Jack Draper in the quarter-finals. Draper and Sinner are tied at 1-1 in their career head-to-head, with the Englishman taking the fight to Sinner during their recent meeting at the 2024 US Open semi-finals.

The closest Sinner came to the trophy was when he made the French Open semi-finals last season. Wimbledon is the other Grand Slam where Sinner is yet to make a title-round appearance.

Another milestone reached by the Italian is his 17-match winning streak at Grand Slams. His one-hour, 34-minute win over Lehecka makes it the quickest men’s match at Roland Garros this year. Sinner struck 31 winners and made only nine unforced errors en route to his victory over the Czech player.

In other action from the draw’s top half, third seed and last year’s finalist Alexander Zverev overcame Flavio Cobolli 6-2, 7-6(4), 6-1 to set up a fourth-round clash with Tallon Griekspoor. Zverev leads Griekspoor 7-2, with German defeating the Dutchman in the quarter-finals at Munich recently.

Novak Djokovic is indicating a return to form with straight-set wins over Mackenzie McDonald and Corentin Moutet. With the 6/3 6/2 7/6(1) win over Moutet, the Serb eased into the third round, where he will face Austrian qualifier Filip Misolic for the first time.
