Daniil Medvedev is all set to start his campaign at the Madrid Open 2024 against Matteo Arnaldi as they face off in the Round of 64 on Saturday. Meanwhile, Matteo Arnaldi has made it to the round of 64 of the Madrid Open by defeating Australian Christopher O’Connell in the round of 128 in straight sets (6-4, 6-1) on Thursday.

Except for his last appearance at the Monte Carlo Masters, Medvedev has been exceptional in his performance in the 2024 season. The Italian enjoyed a good run at the Miami Open where he entered the round of 16 by winning three matches but was defeated by Tomas Machac in straight sets. Before entering the Madrid Open, he entered the quarter-final of the Barcelona Open by winning three successive matches. His campaign ended with a loss against Casper Ruud.
