Top five men's singles players with best odds to win Australian Open 2026?

Reigning champion Jannik Sinner is the hot contender ahead of Australian Open 2026.

The Australian Open is first Grand Slam of the year, providing the ATP field with an opportunity to kick-off the season with the biggest prize in tennis.

With a stacked field, the question to be answered is if the dominance of Sincaraz will continue, or will a new hero emerge to end this duopoly. For all those of you wanting to bet for the upcoming major event, here are the top five ATP players with the best odds.

Men’s singles players with best odds of winning Australian Open 2026

Jannik Sinner (-120)

It is no surprise that two-time champion Jannik Sinner, on the verge of a three-peat, will enter the competition as the favourite. The Italian is a different beast down under, with his compact groundstrokes, elite movement, and growing confidence in big matches, where endurance and baseline control are crucial.

He has been blessed with a straight-forward draw, with a potential contest against Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals. Given Sinner’s remarkable history against the Serbian lately, he is expected to reach the finals once again.

Carlos Alcaraz (+175)

Carlos Alcaraz arrives at the 2026 Australian Open looking for a career slam. After winning six slams, he will be looking to better his record in Melbourne, having never progressed beyond the quarter-finals. The Spaniard is likely to contend with Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals, and is expected to emerge victorious.

This will be his first big test following his split with long term coach, but Alcaraz’s continued evolution and hunger for dominance keep him firmly among the favourites.

Novak Djokovic (+1600)

The massive difference in odds between Alcaraz and Sinner, and the third placed player in this list is an indicator of the exisitng duopoly in ATP.

However, Novak Djokovic is no ordinary threat. A 10-time champion at this venue, the Serbian is eyeing a 25th major. But all eyes will be on his fitness and movement on court, which have derailed him as the competition enters its final leg.

Djokovic should once again make the semi-finals, but he is likely to meet Sinner again in the battle for a place in the finals, and the Italian will be expected to prevail yet again.

Daniil Medvedev (+1400)

Despite a horrid 2025, Daniil Medvedev is placed fourth in this list because of his excellent start to the new season. The Russian lifted his 22nd title in Brisbane 2026, and enters AO as the 12th seed.

He is likely to contend with Felix Auger Aliassime and Alexander Zverev before possibly meeting Carlos Alcaraz in the semis.

The former finalist thrives on Australian hard courts with his flat groundstrokes, deep court positioning, and elite defensive skills. When locked in, Medvedev is capable of frustrating even the most aggressive attackers, and his tactical discipline over long rallies keeps him firmly in the dark-horse category for a deep run.

Alexander Zverev (+3500)

Alexander Zverev rounds out the top contenders as a high-upside outsider. His powerful serve and baseline aggression give him the weapons to trouble any opponent on a fast surface, but consistency and mental clarity across seven best-of-five matches remain the key question.

If Zverev strings together confident performances early, he has the game to challenge the very best in Melbourne, as he showed last year, when he reached the finals at this very venue.

World No. 9 Taylor Fritz, local hope Alex De Minaur and 2025 semi-finalist Ben Shelton narrowly miss a place in this top five list.
