Himani Mor retires from professional tennis to focus on building own business venture: Reports

Himani Mor, a professional tennis player and wife of India’s javelin star Neeraj Chopra, has reportedly decided to bid farewell to her tennis career and is now shifting her focus toward sports business ventures.
According to Dainik Bhaskar, Mor not only stepped away from professional tennis but also turned down a lucrative Rs. 1.5 crore offer she received in a sport job in the United States. Her father, Chand Mor, confirmed that the 26-year-old is now concentrating on her own business interests in sports management.

Himani Mor came into the spotlight earlier this year when she tied the knot with two-time Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra on January 16 in an intimate ceremony near Solan, Himachal Pradesh, attended by only close friends and family.
Born in Haryana, Mor is no stranger to Indian sports fans. She is also a professional tennis player. She studied at Little Angels School in Sonipat which is also the alma mater of India’s top men’s singles tennis player Sumit Nagal and later graduated from Miranda House, Delhi University.
Himani Mor kickstarted her tennis career in 2018, and achieved a career-high ranking of 42 in women’s singles and 27 in doubles in the same year she debuted. She also spent 14 weeks inside the Top 30 of the AITA Women’s Doubles Rankings the same year.
Later, she pursued higher education in the United States, earning a Master’s degree in Sports Management and Administration from the McCormack Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts Amherst. And now, she is focusing on her sports-related business.
Currently, both Neeraj Chopra and Himani Mor is reported to be in Europe where the Indian top javelin star is training for the World Athletics Championships 2025.
