WTA Ningbo Open 2024: Live streaming, TV channel, where and how to watch?

Ningbo Open made its debut in the WTA tour in 2023.

The Ningbo Open 2024 will mark the second edition of the event in the WTA tour. The WTA 500 event took place at the end of September last year. This time the event began on October 14 as it marks the final WTA 500 event in China for this season. While the top players will be missing the event, the battle continues for the trophy.

Barbora Krejcikova is the top seed this time followed by Daria Kasatkina and Beatriz Haddad Maia. Paula Badosa and Katie Boulter are also one of the top ranked players featuring in the event. Boulter was involved in a three hour clash in the opening round last season, she lost to Vera Zvonareva.

While last season’s wildcard Ons Jabeur won the event, she will not be able to defend her title this time. This year, Wang Xiyu of China was the wildcard entry but was knocked out by Badosa in the fourth round. Only three Chinese players had made it to the main draw of the event including Xiyu.

The tournament will see a new player crowned champion this time as Krejcikova has the odds in her favour even though she has not won a singles match since August. The Czech player is also playing doubles with Chan Hao-ching of Chinese Taipei as they are seeded second. Kasatkina will also hope to continue her form in the Asian swing.

The Russian player had reached the finals of Korea Open two weeks ago but suffered early exits in the China Open and Wuhan Open. Meanwhile, Badosa had reached the semi-finals in China Open while losing to Coco Gauff and could register key wins again.

The doubles main draw is led by Nicole Melichar-Martinez/ Ellen Perez. The duo have not been having a successful asian swing.
