Sinner became just the eighth man to complete the Sunshine Double.

Jannik Sinner etched his name into history by defeating Jiri Lehecka in the Miami Open 2026 final to complete the coveted Sunshine Double. The Italian World No. 2 delivered a composed and clinical performance, to seal yet another straight-sets victory.

Having already conquered Indian Wells, Sinner carried his red-hot form into Miami, showcasing remarkable consistency and dominance on hard courts. The 93-minute triumph saw Sinner become the first Italian to complete the Sunshine Double, and notably, the first man to achieve the feat without dropping a set.

This Miami title also marks Sinner’s third consecutive ATP Masters 1000 crown, following his success at the Paris Masters in November 2025.

His superb outings in the US Swing brings him closer to Carlos Alcaraz as the duo will next play with the World No. 1 ranking at stake in Monte Carlo.

Reflecting on his achievement, Sinner expressed pride in his consistency and mental strength throughout the Sunshine Double. “I feel like you know, finals are always very different to play, and I try to stay, you know, solid in very different conditions today,” Sinner told Sky Sports after the match.
