How much did Karolina Muchova, Naomi Osaka, Iga Swiatek, and others earn in prize money at Bad Homburg Open 2026?

Karolina Muchova won their third career title in Bad Homburg, and will enter Wimbledon with as a fierce contender.

Karolina Muchova claimed the 2026 Bad Homburg Open title after Naomi Osaka was forced to retire due to physical discomfort, early in the second set of the final. The Czech had been in complete control, racing through the opening set 6-1 and taking a 1-0 lead in the second before Osaka, who had received a medical timeout during the first set, decided she could not continue because of a right foot issue.

Despite the unfortunate ending, Muchova had looked the superior player throughout the contest, dictating play with her variety, movement and precision.

The triumph marks Muchova’s second WTA title of the 2026 season, following her Qatar Open success, and the third singles title of her career. The 28-year-old did not drop a set all week in Bad Homburg and will head into Wimbledon brimming with confidence after one of the best grass-court campaigns of her career.

For Osaka, the retirement raises fitness concerns ahead of Wimbledon, although she will hope the issue is only a precautionary setback before the year’s third Grand Slam.

Notably, the competition also witnessed last year’s finalist Iga Swiatek and recently crowned Roland Garros winner Mirra Andreeva play their first match on grass in 2026, however both top-10 players were eliminated in the opening round itself.
