WTA Qatar Open 2025: Updated schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

Iga Swiatek, the three-time Qatar Open champion, is the second seed.
The WTA 1000 calendar kicks off with the Qatar Open 2025 as reigning champion Iga Swiatek returns. The Pole has dominated the event, winning the previous three editions. Aryna Sabalenka will be the top seed in the singles draw and look to reprise her 2020 win.
Sabalenka will look for a title run to erase the memories of the loss in Melbourne and keep the WTA No. #1 ranking for herself until Dubai the following week.

It will be a crucial week for the Belarusian as she looks to hold on to the No. #1 ranking, with her main rival Swiatek breathing down her neck. The Pole trails Sabalenka by less than 200 points. Swiatek will be the player to beat in Qatar where she owns a 13-1 record since her debut at the event in 2020.
As the Pole is defending 1000 points in Doha, she will still trail Sabalenka in the battle for WTA No. #1 even if she wins the Qatar Open for the fourth time. But a deep run for Swiatek will help her ahead of the WTA 1000 event in Dubai next week where she was a semi-finalist last season.
Coco Gauff, the 2022 quarter-finalist, and Elena Rybakina, the 2024 finalist, will all have a point to prove in Doha. Both women have had rocky starts to their 2025 campaigns, marked by early exits from the Australian Open. Gauff lost to Paula Badosa, while Rybakina lost to eventual champion Madison Keys.
Jasmine Paolini will be looking to get off to a strong start ahead of her title defence in Dubai next week. The Italian will look to replicate her 2024 season, in which her back-to-back finals at Roland Garros and Wimbledon began in Doha.
Further down the list, Jessica Pegula, Qinwen Zheng and Paula Badosa will all be keen to make their presence felt in Doha. Pegula made the finals in Adelaide, while Badosa reached the last four in Melbourne in January. Zheng, who made the title round at the 2024 WTA Finals Riyadh, can also be expected to take the fight to the competition.
The 2025 Australian Open winner Madison Keys, Danielle Collins and Barbora Krejcikova are among the notable absentees in Doha.
