Three records created by Elena Rybakina with her 2026 Australian Open triumph

This was Rybakinaâs second Grand Slam title and first since 2022.
Elena Rybakina recorded a memorable three-set victory over World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka to win the 2026 Australian Open, her second Grand Slam title. After a series of difficult results, the Kazakhstani tennis star finally made the cut in Melbourne.
After her triumph, she said (via BBC Sport), âI always believed I can come back to the level I was [but] we all have ups and downs. I thought maybe I will never again be in the final, or even get a trophy. But weâve been putting in a lot of work as a team and in the moments when I was not that positive they would be helping out.â
Following her win, the 26-year-old also set a few records, making the victory even more remarkable. Thus, without any further ado, letâs take a look at the three records created by Elena Rybakina after her 2026 Australian Open triumph.
