Serena Williams to make doubles comeback at Queen’s.

The grass court swing kicks off at the Queen’s Club Championships 2026 in London after a two-month break on clay. The WTA 500 returned to the WTA calendar after a 50-year absence.

Together with the Libema Open in s-Hertogenbosch, the Queen’s Championships will give a glimpse into the fortunes of the contenders at Wimbledon.

The highlight of the 2026 edition of Queen’s Club will be the return of Serena Williams after a four-year gap. The 23-time Grand Slam champion is to make her much-anticipated return to the sport, pairing with Victoria Mboko for the doubles event.

The wildcard pairing of Williams and Mboko will face a stern test to kick off their doubles campaign. The duo will open against the No. 3 seeds Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Erin Routliffe in the opening round at Queen’s Club.

World No. 2 Elena Rybakina leads a trio of WTA Top 10 players and will be the top seed at the event. Joining the Kazakh will be No. 6 Amanda Ainisimova and No. 9 Victoria Mboko.

World No. 5 Jessica Pegula pulled out of the event earlier this week following her opening round loss at Roland Garros.

Among the loaded field at Queen’s Club are Belinda Bencic, Iva Jovic, Qinwen Zheng and Roland Garros semifinalist Marta Kostyuk. Zheng made the cut after Hailey Baptiste’s injury withdrawal. Emma Raducanu and Sorana Cirstea are headed to London for their Queen’s Club debut.
