The ATP Dallas Open 2026, which was officially upgraded to an ATP 500 event last season, is all set to host a deep field of men’s tennis players in the 2026 edition from February 9 in Texas.
A paycheck of $530,000 await the singles champion. The doubles team victorious at the end of the week shall split $174,050.
American legends Andre Agassi (5) and John McEnroe (5) hold the record for winning the most singles titles at the Texas-based event. Last year, Denis Shapovalov claimed the title in singles.
Meanwhile, the pair of Christian Harrison and Evan King claimed the title in doubles. This time, they return with different doubles partners. Harrison has teamed up with Britain’s Neal Skupski, while King joins forces with Australian John Peers.
When Shapovalov won the event last season, he became the first Canadian since Milos Raonic to complete a title run in Texas. Shapovalov, the No. 7 seed, will take on a qualifier in the opening round then will await the winner of the opening round match between Aleksandar Kovacevic and Reilly Opelka.
This year, among the title contenders are American players Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz and the dangerous Learner Tien. Not to be left out are Tommy Paul, the 2024 champion and the defending champion Denis Shapovalov. Besides Shapovalov and Paul, the third previous winner in Dallas, Reilly Opelka is also in the fray.
Fritz will open against fellow American Marcus Giron, while Shelton is slated to take on Canadian Gabriel Diallo in his opening round match. The 2024 champion Tommy Paul will open against Jenson Brooksby in another all-American first round.
Learner Tien vs Marin Cilic and Grigor Dimitrov vs Alex Michelsen are the other first-round matches to watch out for at the 2026 Dallas Open.
With Shelton and Dimitrov participating in the doubles draw, fans have plenty to look forward to for the next week in Dallas. Shelton is paired with Kovacevic in an all-American pairing, while Dimtrov will contest the doubles with compatriot Georgi Georgiev as wildcards.
