ATP Vienna Open 2025

Jannik Sinner, the 2023 champion, will lead the field in Vienna.

The Vienna Open 2025 gets its fair share of attention from the top stars of the ATP Tour and is an opportunity to shore up on valuable ATP points in the run-up to the year-ending ATP Finals.

With a prize pool of €2.7 million, the Vienna Open 2025 boasts a strong roster ahead of the main draw, which gets underway on Monday, October 20.With the ATP season drawing to a close, the hard count event is a crucial battleground for players looking to qualify for the year-ending Finals or to end the season on a high. A paycheck of €511,835 and 500 ATP points will await the winner in Austria with five of the top ten players in the ATP slated to make their way to Vienna.

Defending champion Jack Draper will be missing in action after an arm injury ruled him out for the rest of the season. The Briton who won the Indian Wells Masters earlier this year hasn’t played since his second-round withdrawal at the US Open.

The absence of World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz means Pete Sampras’ status as the only World No. 1 to win in Vienna remains safe. Sampras won the title in 1998 and is also the last American to have won the title.

Jannik Sinner, Alex de Minaur, Lorenzo Musetti, and Daniil Medvedev are included in the entry lineup. Andrey Rublev, Alexander Bublik, and Karen Khachanov are also featured on the official player list.

Sinner, who won the event in 2023, will be the biggest draw at the week-long event. The 2021 champion and World No. 3 Alexander Zverev will be playing in the Austrian capital as well.

Sinner returns after a disappointing campaign in Shanghai, with Medvedev, Rublev, and Zverev complete the list of former champions at the venue.

Rublev and Medvedev have also tasted victory in Vienna; Rublev in 2020 and Medvedev in 2022. The Russian duo will be playing here for the first time since 2023. De Minaur and Musetti made deep runs at the ATP 500 event, reaching the semi-finals last season. Khachanov was the runner-up to Jack Draper in 2024.

That leaves Alexander Bublik as the odd one out and the sole player yet to make a meaningful run in Vienna. The Kazakh is making his second appearance in the Austrian capital. His first and only time in Vienna was back in 2019 when he lost in the opening round.
