Until Season 7, no Indian tennis league had ever featured multiple Top 50 ATP players.
Tennis Premier League (TPL), India’s leading tennis league, has announced a 3-year partnership with JioHotstar as the official streaming partner beginning with TPL Season 7.
This multi-year deal marks an important step forward in expanding the digital footprint of tennis in India. It will give fans across the country wider access to live matches, highlights, and exclusive features through JioHotstar’s innovative platforms.
TPL is played in 25-point format, making it easier for the audience to understand and helping position tennis as a mass sport in India. The league is supported by iconic Indian tennis legends Leander Paes, Sania Mirza, and Mahesh Bhupathi, along with celebrity co-owners Rakul Preet Singh and Sonali Bendre Behl.
Season 7 will be held from December 9 to 14, 2025 at the Gujarat University Tennis Stadium in Ahmedabad, a major sporting hub that is set to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
This season will also see Top 50 international players competing in the league for the first time, raising the level of competition significantly.
The international contingent includes Luciano Darderi (World No. 26), Alexandre Muller (World No. 42), Damir Džumhur (World No. 57), Dan Evans (former World No. 21), and two-time Grand Slam champion Rohan Bopanna, along with several leading Indian and international players.
The partnership comes at a time when tennis viewership and fandom are growing rapidly in India. Through JioHotstar’s extensive reach and cutting-edge digital infrastructure, TPL aims to engage a new generation of fans and strengthen its position as India’s top sporting entertainment property.
