The US Open will see a new champion in the men's singles category.

The US Open 2022 is entering its end of the business. The final Grand Slam of the calendar year saw underdogs reaching the knockout stages. In the Men's Singles category both the two top seeds faltered in the fourth round. The tournament got underway not very long ago and has provided fans with some pulsating tennis matches.

The tournament has seen some great match-ups, the most notable of them being Frances Tiafoe of the United States pulling off a stunning upset to send Rafael Nadal crashing out of the tournament. Tiafoe produced an outstanding performance to beat 22-time Grand Slam champion Nadal 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 before a packed Arthur Ashe Stadium. The victory means Tiafoe qualifies for a quarter-final meeting with Russian ninth seed Andrey Rublev on Wednesday.

Andrey Rublev triumphed 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 against Cameron Norrie to reach the US Open quarter-finals for the third time in his tennis career on Monday. Meanwhile, in the women's singles category, world number one Iga Swiatek became the first Polish woman to reach the US Open quarter-finals on Monday when she defeated Jule Niemeier (2-6, 6-4, 6-0). Jessica Pegula became the second American woman into this year’s US Open quarter-finals after brushing aside two-time Grand Slam champion Petra Kvitova in straight sets on Monday (6-3, 6-2).

Nick Kyrgios lost the quarterfinals against Karen Khachanov 7-5, 4-6, 7-5, 6-7(3-7), 6-4. The defeat left him frustrated as he broke his racquet at the end. Here are the remaining fixtures for the US Open:
