Jannik Sinner becomes only man to reach quarterfinals in all grand slams in 2024

Jannik Sinner recorded his 50th win of the season during US Open 2024.

The 2024 season has seen Jannik Sinner showcase sublime consistency at the grand slams. At US Open 2024, he defeated Tommy Paul in the fourth round to become the only man to reach the quarterfinals of all four grand slams in the 2024 season. Sinner has now breached the 20 grand slam win mark this season.

The Italian has only dropped a single set on his way to the quarterfinals of Flushing Meadows. He had lost the opening set against Mackenzie McDonald in the first round and since then has been dominating his opponents on the court. Sinner also recorded a bagel in the second round against Alex Michelsen.

After losing the first set of his US Open 2024 campaign, Sinner only dropped 18 games in the next three matches. He also won 12 consecutive sets during that time period. The Arthur Ashe Stadium this season has witnessed Sinner breaking down his opponents one by one.

The world No #1 during US Open 2024 has became the second player in the ATP tour after Alexander Zverev to record more than 50 wins this season. Sinner also holds the highest winning percentage of this season with 90.6. Not only at the grand slams but he has been performing the same across all tour events.

How has Jannik Sinner performed at the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon in 2024?

Jannik Sinner had started his 2024 season by capturing the Australian Open. It was his first grand slam title while defeating 10-time champion Novak Djokovic in the semifinals and Daniil Medvedev in the finals. Medvedev had taken a two set lead in the finals but Sinner managed to orchestrate a thrilling comeback to win the major. It was also his first grand slam final.

At the French Open, the 23-year-old lost to eventual champion Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals in five sets. Sinner had reached the semi-finals for the first time at the French Open after defeating Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets in the quarterfinals. At Wimbledon, Sinner lost a five setter to Medvedev in the quarter finals.
