Mensik needed two hours, 47 minutes to send the Fonseca home and become the youngest Czech player to reach a Grand Slam final. He replaced his illustrious countryman Ivan Lendl on the list. He is also the first man born in 2004 or later to make the last four at a Grand Slam.
