Ben Shelton vs Brandon Nakashima final live streaming, TV channel, where & how to watch: Canadian Open 2026

Ben Shelton is one win away from becoming only the seventh man to defend his Canadian Open title
Ben Shelton and Brandon Nakashima will meet in an all-American final at the Canadian Open 2026 in Montreal, with both players providing an exhilarating display of tennis over the past few days.
Shelton, the fifth seed, is bidding to defend the title he won in Toronto last year and has once again been dominant on Canadian hard courts.
He has won all five matches in straight sets this fortnight, with victories over Jenson Brooksby, Zizou Bergs, Joao Fonseca, Jakub Mensik and Learner Tien. The 23-year-old also boasts an 11-0 record in Canada since 2025 and will be aiming for his second Masters 1000 title.
Nakashima, meanwhile, is appearing in his first Masters 1000 final and has defeated Daniel Altmaier, Titouan Droguet, Arthur Rinderknech, Luciano Darderi and Rafael Jodar to reach the title clash. His semi-final against Jodar was particularly impressive.
The 25-year-old has also found his best form since beginning his partnership with coach Wayne Ferreira in June and is guaranteed to leave Canada with a career-high ranking.
Shelton holds a commanding 5-0 head-to-head advantage, having won all five previous meetings and dropping just one set in the process. However, Nakashima has developed into a more dangerous opponent, particularly with his forehand and world-class backhand.
The key battle could come down to Shelton’s powerful serve and forehand against Nakashima’s consistency and backhand.
Shelton has not lost serve in three of his five matches in Montreal, while Nakashima has shown the ability to remain composed in tight situations.
With a chance for both players to prevail in the absence of the big names, a new chapter will be written in Montreal on Thursday.
