Tiafoe, on the other hand, has had a tough 2025, and fell from once being a top-10 player to outside the top-25. The American will look to clinch his first title since 2023 Stuttgart, after impressive victories over Mattia Bellucci and fellow American Brandon Nakashima in the previous rounds.
These two are set to meet for only the third time on tour, and Tiafoe leads the rivalry 2-0. Both wins came in America for the American, in straight sets, with their most recent exchange being the Washington round of 16 clash in 2025.

The final face-off between Flavio Cobolli and Frances Tiafoe is set to take place on March 1 (Sunday). The venue is the Arena GNP Seguros, in Acapulco, Mexico. The match has a tentative start time of 9 pm local time and 8:30 am in India.
