The grass-court season gets underway with the 2026 Queen’s Club Championships in London, marking the return of women’s tennis to the historic venue after a 50-year absence.
This year’s edition has generated significant excitement due to the highly anticipated return of Serena Williams. The 23-time Grand Slam champion is set to compete for the first time in nearly four years, partnering rising Canadian star Victoria Mboko in the doubles draw.
The singles field is equally impressive, headlined by World No. 2 Elena Rybakina, who enters as the top seed. She is joined by several high-profile contenders including Amanda Anisimova, Victoria Mboko, Belinda Bencic, Marta Kostyuk, Iva Jovic, Sorana Cirstea, and Leylah Fernandez.
Defending champion Tatjana Maria was not awarded a wildcard, but she won the qualifiers and forced her entry into the main draws any which ways. Eyes will also be on home favorites in Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter.
Scheduled from June 8 to June 14 at the iconic Queen’s Club in London, the championship will provide an early indication of form ahead of Wimbledon.
