Revealed: Which football club does tennis star Jack Draper support?

Jack Draper’s highest ranking is 4, which he reached earlier this year in June.

Jack Draper has become a name in tennis thanks to his charisma and on-court prowess. While fans often compare Draper to British tennis legend Andy Murray, some assert that he will succeed the three-time Grand Slam champion in terms of accolades.

Last year, he reached the semi-finals of the US Open, where he lost to eventual champion Jannik Sinner. The brilliant run against the odds at Flushing Meadows helped the Briton rise in the ranks. Nevertheless, before the match, English Premier League side Manchester United wished luck to the 23-year-old.

While the Red Devils have openly supported the tennis star, Draper has also admitted that Manchester United is his favourite football club. The 23-year-old was at Wembley Stadium when the English national team reached their first major men’s final in 55 years at the 2020 European Championships.

However, he has also admitted that he often fails to keep a record of football matches and scores due to the tight tennis schedule. Jack Draper told Sky Sports, “It’s difficult when we’re away from home all the time, I can’t follow it anymore because of different time zones.”

In 2023, he also had a brief meeting with United goalkeeper Tom Heaton while he was participating in the Davis Cup in Manchester.

Earlier this year, the Briton won his first ATP 1000 Masters title at Indian Wells. Seeded 13th, Draper recorded crucial wins over the likes of Ben Shelton, Carlos Alcaraz, and Holger Rune to win the title. The Briton also completed 100 wins on the tour and broke into the top five of the ATP rankings.

However, he has also missed a few tournaments due to different injuries. He missed the Miami Open due to an abdominal injury and was forced to retire from his first-round match at the French Open due to a shoulder injury.

Draper is expected to return at the 2025 US Open after missing the Canadian Open and the Cincinnati Open.
