Sumit Nagal will be making his main draw debut at the 2024 Wimbledon.

Indian tennis star Sumit Nagal recently took to social media and uploaded pictures from his practice session ahead of the Wimbledon 2024 Championships.

Sumit Nagal, who won the Wimbledon Boys Doubles title in 2015, is set to make his main draw debut at the grass court major. The 26-year-old is enjoying a breakthrough campaign this season. Nagal has faced some of the top names on the tour at ATP 1000 Masters and Grand Slam events.

Nagal recorded a historic victory over Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik in the first round at the 2024 Australian Open in January. He also played in the main draw at the Indian Wells Masters and the Monte-Carlo Masters. His campaign at the French Open ended early; however, he pushed Karen Khachanov to his limits in the third set.

Sumit Nagal has won two Challenger tournaments in 2024 and he’s currently ranked #71 by the ATP, which is his career-best ranking. Additionally, he has also secured a spot at the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. Nagal also played at the Tokyo Olympics, where he suffered a defeat in the second round against Daniil Medvedev.

Nevertheless, the Indian tennis star is getting ready for Wimbledon. He took to Instagram and uploaded a few pictures from the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. He captioned the post, “Tennis Paradise.”

In the picture, the ATP World No. #71 can be seen standing alongside his coach Milos Galecic. Meanwhile, in another picture, he can be seen shaking hands with two-time doubles Grand Slam champion Rohan Bopanna.
