Another day of stars lighting up the centre court at Wimbledon 2025.

The round two of the singles event has begun at Wimbledon 2025, and the doubles have commenced simultaneously as well. As the top seeds, who are alive in the tournament look to make their way to the next round, several prominent faces make their presence at the Championship.

Among those include popular WWE star, John Cena, spotted along with his wife Shay Shariatzadeh. The couple were in London for the screening of his new film ‘Heads of State’. Cena’s presence resurfaced an old joke, as fans on X humorously said ‘Great to See’ John Cena!

The joke originated from a signature taunt by John Cena in the wrestling ring, where he would wave his hand in front of his face and say, “You can’t see me,” implying that his opponents couldn’t match or keep up with him.

Also at the centre court for the Aryna Sabalenka match, was India’s Priyank Chopra along with husband Nick Jonas. The Indian actress is now a popular name in Hollywood having made the transition, and her outfit for the Championship, has grabbed everyone’s attention.

Among the notable attendees were English actor Dominic Cooper, Olympic gold medallist diver Tom Daley, and golfer Tommy Fleetwood. Music fans spotted Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and singer Olivia Rodrigo, fresh from her Glastonbury headline.

Sabalenka prevailed in the second round, against Marie Bouzková. The Belarusian seemed to be in a spot of bother, having been broken in the 11th game. Bouzková was serving for the set, but the top seed broke back, to claim the set in the tiebreak. She will next meet the winner of the match between Emma Raducanu and Marketa Vondrousova.

While Sabalenka has so far had a smooth run in the opening two rounds of Wimbledon 2025, the same can’t be said for several other top players and seeded names in both the women’s singles and men’s singles divisions. As many as 23 seeded players (13 in MS & 10 in WS) bowed out in the opening round itself.

Frances Tiafoe, seeded 12th in SW19, was the first seeded player to make an exit in the second round. Leylah Fernandez (29) and Donna Vekic (22) soon followed suit with straight sets losses. USA’s Tiafoe went out despite winning the first set against 2022 Wimbledon semi-finalist Cameron Norrie.
