WTA Finals 2024: Updated schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details
Defending champion Iga Swiatek won last year’s title in Cancun.
The WTA Finals 2024 will begin in Riyadh on 2nd November. The championship will feature the world’s top women tennis players as they compete for the largest payout amount ever in this particular tourney.
In fact, the champion of this week-long affair held at the King Saud University Sports Arena could take home up to $5.1 million, beating the previous record held by Ashleigh Barty when she won $4.42 million in 2019.
The headliner is world No. #1 Aryna Sabalenka in the Purple Group along with Elena Rybakina, Jasmine Paolini, and Zheng Qinwen. In the Orange Group is the second seed Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, and Barbora Krejcikova.

The year-end World No. #1 ranking is now in the balance between Sabalenka and Swiatek. For Sabalenka to grab the top spot, she needs to win three of her four round-robin matches or make it into the final with two victories. Swiatek will have to win the event to have any hope for the year-end No. #1 ranking.
This 2024 season has been dominated by both of these players in run up to the WTA Finals. Sabalenka won two Grand Slams while Swiatek won four WTA 1000 events and, of course, the French Open.
The tournament format for WTA Finals 2024 is a round-robin format where the groups will be competing from the 2nd to 7th of November; the two top winners out of the groups will battle it out in the semifinals on the 8th of November while it will all culminate in the final on November 9.
Defending champion Swiatek won last year’s title in Cancun, beating Jessica Pegula 6-1, 6-0 in the final.
The doubles event sees eight strong teams vying for their piece of the prize money. The top seeds in the Green Group are Lyudmyla Kichenok and Jelena Ostapenko, while Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe lead the White Group.
