Let’s analyze Conor McGregor’s performances at Welterweight.
Several fighters in the UFC have competed across multiple weight classes, and the trend has gained momentum in recent years. Many fighters move divisions either in pursuit of championship gold in multiple weight classes or to avoid drastic weight cuts that can negatively affect the body.
That said, some have competed with ease at different weight classes, even switching back and forth between them, among them Conor McGregor is undoubtedly one of the biggest names, who made being a simultaneous double champion in UFC a thing.
The Notorious has competed at different weight classes, including featherweight (145lbs), lightweight (155lbs), and Welterweight (170lbs). Conor has also held the 145 and 155 division titles simultaneously, the first one to do so in the UFC, and the third fighter overall to win gold in two separate divisions.
After 28 fights, his win-loss record stands at 22 wins and 6 losses, with 19 wins coming by way of KO/TKO. Let us now take a look at the full win-loss record of McGregor at Welterweight in UFC.

McGregor made his Welterweight debut for the first time in 2016, after an iconic callout by Nate Diaz. The match saw both polarizing personalities collide on the mic and in the octagon. Diaz handed Conor his first loss in the UFC in his first fight at 170lbs.
However, McGregor bounced back with a hunger to make things right with a proper fight camp before the fight at UFC 202, instead of a rushed camp like the previous one. What unfolded was a technical affair and striking at the highest level between the two. In the end, Conor bagged the win via majority decision.
Returning from a two-year hiatus after his high-profile loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov and the chaos afterwards, McGregor once again competed at Welterweight; this time, his opponent was a seasoned veteran in Donald Cerrone.
McGregor made quick work of Cerrone, ending the fight with devastating strikes in the very first minute of the first round. The Notorious is once again set to return to the division, with his first fight after a five-year hiatus since suffering the leg injury at UFC 257 in 2021.
McGregor will battle Max Holloway in a rematch from their first meeting in August 2013, where Conor edged out a unanimous decision. The bout will mark Conor’s fourth welterweight fight, while Max will make his 170lbs debut.
What is Conor McGregor’s UFC Welterweight record?
After three fights in the 170lbs division, McGregor’s win/loss record stands at 2 wins and 1 loss.
