Alex Pereira is the highest-paid fighter at UFC Freedom 250!

Alex Pereira will pocket $10 million for his heavyweight debut at UFC Freedom 250, making him the highest-paid fighter on the historic White House card.

The figure slipped out during a conversation between Pereira and UFC commentator Daniel Cormier on Pereira’s YouTube channel.

While the pair were discussing a bet ahead of the FIFA World Cup, Pereira suggested putting $20,000 on the line, prompting Cormier to decline and reveal why Pereira could afford it more than anyone else on the card. “You’re the only one fighter at the White House making $10 million,” Cormier said.

No other fighter on the card is expected to approach Pereira’s purse. Cormier stated flatly that the Brazilian was the only combatant at Freedom 250 reaching eight figures.

The payday reflects what is at stake for “Poatan” on Sunday. The former middleweight and light heavyweight champion faces Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title, giving him a chance to become the first fighter in the promotion’s history to hold belts across three weight classes.

Dana White has said Pereira will achieve GOAT status if he is able to successfully move up to heavyweight and win the interim title.

Pereira has also revealed that he signed a new eight-fight deal with the MMA leader, and was so happy with the terms that he was willing to do whatever the promotion wanted, including vacating his light heavyweight title to move up to heavyweight.

The $10 million figure has also added context to broader pay discussions around the card. Jon Jones was reportedly seeking $20 million to fight Pereira at the White House, while the UFC reportedly held firm at $15 million.

Meanwhile, main event fighters Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje, headlining a lightweight title unification bout in what is the marquee fight of the evening, are estimated to earn in the $2 million range each, based on analyst projections drawing from their recent earnings history.

The historic event at the White House takes place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, live from the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C. The main card begins at 8:00 PM ET, streaming live on Paramount+ in the United States and on Sony LIV in India.
