Michael Morales calls out the entire division in a recent video.

In a recent video posted to his IG handle, UFC Welterweight Michael Morales has called out multiple names in the division, including the reigning Welterweight Champion Islam Makhachev.

In the video, Morales called out Makhachev to stop making excuses, noting that Makhachev wanted Morales and Carlos Prates to fight for the next title shot, but pointed out that Makhachev can’t make excuses.

He then challenged Prates to settle who deserves the opportunity, while warning Makhachev that if he chooses the “easy” route, Morales has his sights set on Shavkat Rakhmonov for 2027. He also took a final jab at Ian Garry, simply stating, “F*ck Ian Garry.”

“Islam… you know who I am. You said ‘Morales is way more dangerous’. You also said I need one more fight. About Prates and me, you said ‘let them fight’. Alright, but after that, no more excuses.

Prates, you said the UFC never offered you the fight with me. You and me, let’s do it. You want the belt, I want the belt. Let’s find out who’s next.

But if you guys have different plans… Islam if you prefer Prates because you prefer an easy fighter, I have mine for 2027. The final boss of this division. Shavkat Rakhmonov. Oh I almost forgot. F*ck Ian Garry.”

Following Morales’ video, Ian Garry responded by sharing footage of their conversation, calling out Morales for his trash talk and accusing him of fabricating stories about their meeting.

In the caption, Garry revealed that he has agreed to a main event fight between the two, and the date is locked in, and Morales is already making excuses. Garry revealed that UFC sent him the dates, and he himself messaged him on IG.

“I’ve said YES. The date is locked in. Main event and You’re making excuses already. UFC sent the date. I dm’d you myself. You make it all public but behind the scenes I’m getting a different message. The world knows I’m anyone anytime… How long has it been since he’s fought?”

Garry also took a jab at Morales, asking how long it has been since his last fight. Morales last fought at UFC 322 in November 2025, defeating Sean Brady via first-round TKO.

On the other hand, Garry recently fought Islam Makhachev at UFC 330 in August for the Welterweight title and came up short, losing a unanimous decision.

What is Michael Morales’ last fight?

Morales last fought at UFC 322 in November 2025, defeating Sean Brady via first-round TKO. This was his second fight in 2025, and he has not fought in 2026.

Has UFC booked Ian Garry vs Michael Morales?

No, there is no official announcement regarding that fight; however, Garry has claimed that he has agreed to a main event fight between the two, that the date is locked in, and that Morales is already making excuses. Garry revealed that the UFC sent him the dates, and he himself messaged him on IG.
