Pimblett made his debut in the regional circuits before signing with the Cage Warriors in 2013. While in Cage Warriors, Pimblett initially denied a UFC contract twice and, in turn, opted for a better contract with Cage Warriors. However, as noted in 2021, the Liverpool native signed with the UFC and made his long-awaited debut.

Pimblett made his UFC debut against Luigi Vendramini in September 2021, marking his first win in the promotion, and he followed it up with two back-to-back submission wins.
While his fourth fight against Jared Gordon at UFC 282 landed him in controversy, as many fans and pundits scored the match for Gordon, the judges gave the win to Pimblett. However, Pimblett continued to stack wins and scored his first major stoppage win over Michael Chandler.
The incredible performance landed Pimblett in an Interim title fight opposite seasoned veteran Justin Gathje. Pimblett failed to secure the win, losing a unanimous decision to Gathje, marking his first-ever loss in the UFC.
Now, Pimblett is looking to bounce back with a win as he is set to take on fellow rising lightweight Benoit Saint Denis. The fight will be the co-main event of the upcoming UFC 329, which will emanate from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will be headlined by Conor McGregor and Max Holloway.
