Four Indian fighters will fight their way to get a UFC contract

This weekend, UFC Performance Institute Shanghai will host back-to-back days of the first round of Road To UFC Season 3, the tremendously successful “win and advance” competition that will take top MMA prospects from Asia and provide them with a road to a UFC contract.

In the first round, 32 mixed martial arts athletes from throughout Asia will compete in each of four weight classes, with four non-tournament bouts added to give extra opportunities for up-and-coming fighters.

Four of the 32 athletes will represent India in the first round, with Kiru Singh Sahota and Angad Bisht fighting in the men’s flyweight opener and Priya Sharma and Kiran Singh fighting in the women’s strawweight opener against separate opponents. Kiran Singh spoke with Khel Now in an exclusive interview providing updates about her coming fight.

  • Women’s Strawweight opening round: Feier Huang (China) vs Miki Motono (Japan)

  • Bantamweight opening round: Kyusung Kim (South Korea) vs Tokitaka Nakanishi (Japan)
  • Flyweight opening round: Kiru Singh Sahota (India) vs Yin Shuai (China)
  • Bantamweight opening round: Baergeng Jieleyisi (China) vs Li Yunfeng (China)

Road To UFC Season 3 – Date, Time & Venue

The first round of Road To UFC Season 3 will take place over two days this weekend, on Saturday (May 18) and Sunday (May 19), at the UFC Performance Institute (UFC PI) in Shanghai, China.

The first episode of the day begins at 6 PM CST (Local Time), and the second episode begins at 8 PM CST (Local Time). Due to the time difference, the first episode will show at 3:30 PM IST, followed by the second at 5:30 PM IST. (Time remains same for both the days)

Where to watch?

All four episodes will air live on UFC Fight Pass throughout the world, while the first episode will be shown live and exclusively in India on Sony Sports TEN 2 SD & HD Channels. The second episode will be available for live streaming on Sony LIV on May 18, while the third and fourth episodes will be shown live on Sony Sports TEN 2, Sony Sports TEN 3, and Sony Sports TEN 4 on May 19. In addition, Sony LIV will offer live streaming for all four episodes.
