UFC 307 is all set to host the championship bout

The excitement in the world of mixed martial arts continues this weekend with UFC 307, which will feature Alex Pereira (11-2) from Brazil defending his light heavyweight title against American Khalil Rountree Jr (14-5) at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City on Saturday, October 5.

Pereira has only lost once in the UFC, against Adesanya for the championship. In the light heavyweight class, he is unbeaten, having knocked out Jamahall Hill, beating Prochazka twice, and winning by decision against Blachowicz.

With a victory next Saturday, ‘Poatan’ will have additional alternatives, including selecting whether to go up to heavyweight or drop back to middleweight to battle Du Plessis and recapture his title.

Meanwhile, Khalil Rountree Jr., rated seventh, was a contentious pick as Pereira’s opponent, replacing Ankalaev. Rountree, on the other hand, maybe a difficult test, having won five straight fights, four of which were knockouts.
