UFC 322 will feature two high-stakes title fights.

Something special always happens when the UFC returns to New York City each November, and UFC 322: Della Maddalena vs Makhachev promises to keep that tradition alive this year.

Taking place at the iconic Madison Square Garden, the VeChain-sponsored event features a blockbuster lineup headlined by two superfights that could redefine the sport’s elite landscape.

In the main event, Welterweight Champ Jack Della Maddalena takes on former lightweight king Islam Makhachev, who is on a bid to become a two-division champion. Meanwhile, in the co-main event, Zhang Weili moves up to face Flyweight Queen, Valentina Shevchenko, in a historic champion-versus-champion showdown.

From rising stars like Sean Brady and Michael Morales to fan favorites like Bo Nickal and Erin Blanchfield, the card is stacked from top to bottom. With gold, glory, and legacy on the line, UFC 322 is shaping up as one of the year’s must-watch fight nights, a true showcase of the sport’s best on its biggest stage.

Jack Della Maddalena and Israel Makhachev estimated payouts

The UFC 322 main event brings together two fighters riding massive waves of momentum, and the stakes aren’t limited to championship gold.

Jack Della Maddalena enters the bout eager to validate his status as not just a titleholder, but the defining force of the division.

Before UFC 315, his disclosed career earnings sat around $320,000, with projections placing his purse for that event between $350,000 and $450,000.

Now headlining a major New York pay-per-view as the defending champion, Della Maddalena is expected to once again land comfortably within that range, with the potential to push higher if he secures performance bonuses or a finish.

Israel Makhachev, however, stands in another financial bracket altogether. His reported base purse for UFC 311 was $250,000, but with PPV points, win bonuses, and additional incentives, his total payout reportedly climbed past $1.8 million.

As the former lightweight king moves up in weight to chase another world title, he’s widely expected to be the highest-paid athlete on the UFC 322 card.

Factoring in champion-level bonuses and his proven PPV draw, Makhachev’s earnings could easily reach seven figures. Ultimately, both fighters are competing for legacy but the financial rewards may be equally career-defining.

UFC 322 other main card payouts

Beyond the championship bouts, UFC 322 features a stacked main card loaded with fighters whose financial stakes are nearly as compelling as their matchups.

Former champions, rising contenders, and breakout stars all stand to earn some of the biggest paydays of their careers under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden.

Valentina Shevchenko remains one of the most consistently high-paid women in MMA. During her dominant title run, she regularly pulled in six-figure base salaries, including a $500,000 purse for her trilogy fight with Alexa Grasso.

With PPV incentives and performance bonuses, her total earnings often approached the million-dollar mark. Fighting on a marquee New York card, she is expected to be in a similar range once again.

Zhang Weili, meanwhile, has cemented herself as one of the UFC’s highest earners among female athletes. Her biggest disclosed payout came at UFC 312, totaling nearly $2.54 million. With a shot at two-division glory on the line, UFC 322 could easily become another career-high payday.

Further down the lineup, contenders like Sean Brady and Michael Morales aim to capitalize on expanded visibility. Brady’s last estimated purse was around $80,000, a figure that should climb significantly on a major PPV. Morales, coming off impressive performances, including his breakout showing at UFC 305, also stands to receive a notable bump.

Former welterweight champion Leon Edwards continues to command elite-level pay. His clash with Colby Covington at UFC 296 earned him more than $1 million, and although he isn’t headlining this time, another hefty check is expected. Carlos Prates, who secured over $115,000 at UFC 305 thanks to a knockout bonus, will also see a boost with his PPV main-card placement.

Veteran Beneil Dariush and rising powerhouse Benoît Saint-Denis contribute further depth. Dariush typically operates within the mid-to-high six-figure range, while Saint-Denis’s $200,000 base salary reflects his rapid ascent. Add in Bo Nickal’s $200,000 base, Gregory Rodrigues’ $36,000, and Angela Hill’s $80,000, and it becomes clear: UFC 322 offers high-stakes opportunities for every fighter stepping into the cage.
