The vacant flyweight title will be up for grabs at UFC 332.
Live from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, UFC 332 will be headlined by Natalia Silva and Wang Cong. The two flyweight standouts will battle for the vacant title after reigning Champion Valentina Shevchenko vacated the title due to injury.
Silva, who is on an undefeated streak, was all set to battle the reigning Champion when the opponent change happened, but she is still determined to win and capture the title. Meanwhile, Cong is looking to capture another title for China and become part of an elite group of fighters from China who have held a UFC title.
Zhang Weili is the first and only UFC champion from China right now, having claimed the Women’s Strawweight title twice.
Silva is riding high on an undefeated streak with wins over former champions Jessica Andrade, Alexa Grasso, and Rose Namajunas. On the other hand, Wang boasts the division’s best striking differential and holds the highest striking accuracy in women’s flyweight history.
Wang also enters the contest riding a four-fight winning streak, with her latest victory coming against Tracy Cortez at UFC 329. Notably, she has a kickboxing win over Shevchenko dating back to 2015.
The co-main event will see Deiveson Figueiredo take on Payton Talbott in a bantamweight clash, while the rest of the card features several intriguing matchups across the divisions.
With names like King Green, Ateba Gautier, Johnny Walker, Rafael Dos Anjos, and Marvin Vettori, UFC 332 promises an action-packed night of fights.
