UFC Edmonton will take over the Rogers Arena.
After last weekend’s Fight Night at the Meta Apex, UFC for the upcoming Fight Night will travel to the great white north for this weekend’s show headlined by two welterweights, Joaquin Buckley and Canada’s own Mike Malott.
The Rogers Arena will host UFC’s fourth stop in Edmonton, Canada, as Buckley looks to defend his top 10 spot against the rising star from Canada, who is currently ranked 13 in the division. Despite impeccable win streaks and flashy KOs in the past, Buckley is currently at a crossroads with his two-fight losing streak.
His last two fights against Kamaru Usman and Sean Brady have ended in disappointment as he came up short on the scorecards on both occasions. On the other hand, after suffering his first UFC defeat against Neil Magny in 2024, Malott has bounced back and is currently on a four-fight win streak.
Malott’s last two victories over Kevin Holland and Gilbert Burns have strengthened his case as a potential title contender, raising hopes that he could become Canada’s next UFC champion since his fellow countryman and MMA legend Georges St-Pierre.
The co-main event features a top 10 flyweight clash between Erin Blanchfield and Jasmine Jasudavicius. Both of whom will look for a dominant win to make a case for a title shot, especially with a new Champion crowned earlier this month.
