UFC returns to the Meta Apexa after a double title headliner.
After a double title headline in Newark, New Jersey, the MMA leader returns to a familiar venue in Las Vegas, Nevada, for a Fight Night this Saturday, headlined by two featherweights in Arnold Allen and Melquizael Costa.
Live from the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, Allen and Costa will collide in a matchup on May 16, that will further shape up the featherweight division, where a former king is back on the throne and fending off challengers.
The event marks Allen’s second outing of the year after suffering defeat in a tightly contested decision to Jean Silva at UFC 324 in January. On the other hand, Costa heads into his first main event on a six-fight winning streak, which has earned him a spot in the Top 15.
He finished last year with a vicious knockout of Morgan Charriere, then carried that momentum into his last fight against Dan Ige in February, picking up a win over the veteran with a spinning back kick. Costa wants a win over another staple of the division, while Allen is looking to upset the odds and get back into title contention.
The rest of the card features matchups like Tuco Tokkos vs Ivan Erslan, Ketlen Vieira vs Jacqueline Cavalcanti, and Cody Brundage vs Andre Petroski, among others.
