UFC London was a huge success!

The UFC London bonuses and aftermath highlight one of the promotion’s most successful Fight Night events. The main event pitted English star Leon Edwards against Sean Brady in a welterweight contest that was critical to both men’s title-challenging hopes.

The co-main event pitted veteran Jan Błachowicz against burgeoning power-puncher Carlos Ulberg in a light heavyweight fight that flopped hard. However, neither man was able to finish with Ulberg picking up the win via UD. Fortunately, the main event did, with Brady submitting Edwards via a fourth-round rear-naked choke.

In doing so, he became the first fighter to finish Edwards, a former welterweight champion. Furthermore, it has put ‘Rocky’ on his first-ever losing streak, while Brady has received a $50,000 Performance Bonus for his efforts. Alexia Thainara was another fighter who received a $50,000 performance bonus.

UFC London payout

Leon Edwards

At UFC 304, Edwards received the largest purse of his career, with a base salary of $500,000. This does not include any PPV points, therefore he most certainly received much more. Leon is likely to receive a comparable basic prize, which could potentially quadruple if he defeats Brady.

Leon was already making good money before winning the UFC Welterweight Championship against Kamaru Usman in 2022. Despite no longer holding the title, his stock has grown dramatically, and he might get a seven-figure payoff.

Sean Brady

Sean Brady earned around $466,000 for his fight at UFC Vegas 97 against former championship contender Gilbert Burns. However, in what may be his most important fight, the #5 rated 170lbs competitor is anticipated to earn $600,000 to $1 million. He also received a performance of the night bonus.

Jan Blachowicz

Blachowicz earned $1,010,000 for his previous fight at UFC 291. However, given Jan’s status as a former UFC Champion and top contender in the light heavyweight division, PPV points were most certainly a factor in this compensation.

This, along with the fact that his previous bout was a loss to Alex Pereira in 2023, might reduce his purse for his forthcoming battle against Carlos Ulberg. The UFC does not announce specific compensation, but Blachowicz is projected to earn the second-highest paycheck of the night. Blachowicz is anticipated to earn around $1 million.

Carlos Ulberg

The Polish boxer competed in the Octagon against Kiwi fighter Carlos Ulberg. So, if we looked at their compensation structures, there would be a significant disparity. While Blachowicz is likely to earn over $1 million, Ulberg might make around $2,000,000 for his subsequent excursion.

Every other fighter on the main card

Other than that, veteran two-division juggernaut Kevin Holland is expected to earn somewhere around $2,50,000 to $3,50,000 for his next fight. Meanwhile, his opponent and a returning Gunnar Nelson will be earning around $2,00,000 to $3,00,000 for his next bout.

Finally, we have hometown queen Molly McCann who faced defeat against debutant Alexia Thainara. The Englishwoman might earn somewhere around $1,50,000 in her last fight as she announced her retirement after the loss.
