Anthony Hernandez battles Gregory Rodrigues in a pivotal middleweight clash at UFC Sacramento.
UFC touches down at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, for the first time in more than seven years, headlined by a critical 185-pound clash between local NorCal standout Anthony Hernandez and hard-hitting Brazilian Gregory Rodrigues.
Hernandez, the promotion’s number 6 ranked middleweight, is stepping into his third straight main event assignment. The 32-year-old had strung together an eight-fight winning streak before running into champion Sean Strickland earlier this year, and he will look to get back in the win column on home turf.
Standing across from him is Rodrigues, the number 11 contender, who brings finishing power that has ended fights early throughout his UFC run. A win here would push him firmly into the divisional title picture.
The co-main event pits heavyweight veteran Serghei Spivac against surging Brazilian Vitor Petrino, while former ONE Championship titleholder Reinier de Ridder makes his light heavyweight move against Roman Dolidze in another key bout on the card.
