Where and how to watch Asian Men's Volleyball Championship 2023 live in India?

India qualified for the tournament after finishing ninth in the previous edition.

The 22nd edition of the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship 2023 is scheduled to be held from August 19 to August 26, 2023, in Urmia Iran. With nine titles, Japan are the most successful team in the tournament history followed by South Korea and Iran with four titles each. Iran lifted their fourth title in the last edition of the Asian Volleyball Championship by defeating Japan (3-0).

A total of 18 teams qualified for the tournament, however Mongolia decided to withdraw their team from the competition. India qualified after finishing ninth in the 2021 edition of the Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship.

With much anticipation, India is all set for its 19th appearance in the Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship. India’s best performance in the Asian Volleyball Championship was in 2005 when they achieved fourth place. Though India finished ninth in the 2021 edition, they will aim for better performance in this edition of the tournament starting today. 

In the 22nd edition of the Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship, India are placed in group B alongside Qatar and Afghanistan. They will start their campaign against Qatar on August 19.
