The winner is set to qualify for FIVB Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup 2024.

The Volleyball Asian Women’s Challenge Cup 2024 commences on May 22 and runs until May 29 in Manila, Philippines.  The event is being staged at – Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila, which has a seating capacity of 6,100. 

The 2024 Asian Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup will be the fifth edition of the annual international volleyball tournament organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) in collaboration with the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF). This tournament will feature senior women’s national teams from the AVC, competing for a promotion to the FIVB Women’s Challenger Cup 2024.

A total of 10 nations will compete in the 2024 edition of the Asian Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup. The Philippines secured its place as the host nation for the competition. Six nations, namely Chinese Taipei, Iran, Australia, India, Vietnam, and Indonesia, qualified based on their performance in the previous edition. Kazakhstan, Singapore, and Hong Kong qualified as additional entrant teams.

Hong Kong and Vietnam have each won the title once. The first two editions, scheduled for 2018 and 2020, were not held due to unforeseen circumstances and the COVID-19 pandemic.

India’s performance at Asian Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup

India’s best performance in the competition’s history came in 2022 when they finished runners-up after losing to Hong Kong (2-3) in the Final match. In the last edition of the biennial event, India finished fourth after losing to Chinese Taipei by 0-3.
