The tournament is highly prestigious, with the winner earning an automatic berth at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. In addition, the top three teams will earn spots at the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Cup 2027. It also precedes the Asian Games, set to be held later this month in the same country.

After their recent impressive performances at the AVC Men’s Cup 2026 held in Amdavad, the Indian men’s volleyball team would be looking to put on a strong showing here too, considering that a positive result will take the popularity of the sport in the nation upwards by leaps and bounds.

The road will be tough for the world No. 46 side, as Iran (No. 19) and China (No. 37) are both ranked higher in the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Rankings. Nevertheless, one can be assured that the Dragan Mihailovic-coached side will be up for the task.
