The draft is set to kick off on the 28th April episode of Friday Night SmackDown

The 2023 WWE Draft will be the 17th draft held by the Stamford-based wrestling organization between their Raw and SmackDown brand divisions.

The two-night event will begin on the 28th April episode of Friday Night SmackDown and conclude on the 1st May episode of Monday Night Raw, with the blue brand airing on Fox and the red brand on the USA Network.

This will be the first draft held since 2021 and the first under Chief Content Officer Triple H's creative leadership since Vince McMahon's retirement in July 2022.

Triple H declared on the April 7, 2023, episode of SmackDown that the next draft will be a "game changer" for the WWE Universe. The 14-time world champion mentioned that every WWE superstar, whether active or inactive, will be eligible for this year's draft.

What should we expect from the WWE Draft 2023?

A number of NXT stars are rumored to be scheduled for a main roster break during the WWE Draft 2023. With the draft approaching, Xero News has reported some prominent NXT stars who will be making their WWE main roster debut soon.

Cameron Grimes, Tyler Bate, Ilja Dragunov, Bron Breakker, and Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson) are potential development brand names for the men's division. However, about the women's division, there needed to be more information provided.

Nikkita Lyons was teased for a main roster push, and a "couple more" NXT female Superstars might be added. The report also suggests that Indi Hartwell was appropriate until she won the NXT Women's Championship at Stand & Deliver 2023.

Bron Breakker and Ilja Dragunov have been heavily rumoured for main roster promotions out of all of these names.
