Rumors: Drew McIntyre to turn heel at WWE Money in the Bank
'The Scottish Psychopath' was last in action at Wrestlemania 39
Drew McIntyre has been a top baby face of the company for over three years now. He had gained a lot of momentum prior and during the pandemic. He single handedly carried the company on his shoulder during the pandemic and never let WWE’s momentum go down.
He has gained a lot of fans as a baby face over the years. After losing the WWE Championship and being drafted to SmackDown, McIntyre has been on the losing path for months and wasn't able to recapture the same momentum which he gained as the face of Raw and it made him stuck between the mid card. Now there is a rumour of him which could possibly make him to the top of the cards.
What’s the rumour?
The Scottish Psychopath, Drew McIntyre has been away from television after WrestleMania 39. WWE had stopped advertising him from the promotions and has not confirmed his status yet. Eventually, McIntyre blacked out his twitter account and removed WWE references.
This made space for multiple rumours about his dissatisfaction with the company, and could possibly leave the company. Surprisingly, McIntyre got picked by the Raw roster in the 2023 Draft, this made WWE fans and wrestling observers confused about his status with the company. After a successful Backlash event, WWE has two exciting premium live events Night of Champions at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Money in the Bank in London, England.
Now, it has been highly rumoured that Drew McIntyre could possibly return to WWE as a heel at the Money in the Bank premium live event on July 1 in the United Kingdom. It is also speculated that McIntrye could possibly assault the World Heavyweight Champion, which is likely to be Seth Rollins.
He could also win the Money in the Bank briefcase and cash it on the same day to become the World Heavyweight Champion, this could give him a fresh start for his character and gain back his momentum as a heel. Making him turn heel and getting booed by the home crowd could make him the biggest heel in the company. Feuding with the baby faces of the Raw roster and destroying them could be effective.
