Seth Rollins spotted on set of "Marvel's Captain America: New World Order"
The Visionary is the latest WWE star to turn his hands in Hollywood
WWE superstar Seth Rollins has been spotted on the set of the upcoming Marvel movie "Captain America: New World Order." This had been witnessed by a photo and video that was posted on Twitter where Rollins was captured interacting with crew members in Atlanta, Georgia. Fans continue reading to find out more on this exciting news.
“Captain America: New World Order" Release Date Confirmed
The release date of "Captain America: New World Order" is stated to be May 3, 2024, and it is also declared that the particular movie will feature Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, also known as the new Captain America, who will be following the footsteps of Chris Evans. The movie is currently being filmed in Atlanta, with Liv Tyler being the actress, who had been spotted on set in March. Tyler will be reprising her role as Betty Ross, fifteen years after her character's first appearance in 2008's "The Incredible Hulk."
Despite rumors circulating about Chris Evans potentially returning to the Captain America role, he disappointed fans by announcing at the 2023 Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo that he felt there were more stories to tell but was cautious about revisiting the character. He expressed his love and attachment to the role but also emphasized the importance of not wanting to compromise on the character's legacy.
Fans Anticipate Rollins' Debut in the Marvel Universe
Rollins wife, who is a fellow WWE Superstar Becky Lynch, has connections to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It was previously reported that her wife Lynch had filmed a post-credits scene for "Eternals," although it was ultimately cut from the movie. However, the possibility of future appearances of Rollins within the MCU for Lynch has not been ruled out.
Furthermore, in the video that was posted in Twitter, Rollins was seen wearing a long green coat and sporting long, blonde-toned hair, which has led fans to speculate that their favourite star may have been cast as a member of the villainous Serpent Society, an evil crew in the Marvel Universe. The particular crew is led by the character “Sidewinder” and is the one that can transform into various snakes. Hence without him officially confirming it could be easily made out from his outfit that another WWE superstar is in the MCU.
Furthermore, WWE is also hesitant to grant Seth Rollins the World Heavyweight Championship due to his commitment to portraying Captain America in "New Order." Balancing his film role and wrestling may affect his availability and commitment to the company. WWE prefers champions who can fully dedicate themselves to their in-ring responsibilities.
All in all, fans eagerly anticipate "Captain America: New World Order," scheduled to hit theaters on May 3, 2024, to see Seth Rollins make his debut in the Marvel universe.
