Top five superstars Bray Wyatt can feud with after returning
The "Fiend" has been off TV for some months now
WWE fans were in for a treat at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view, as Bray Wyatt made his long-awaited return to the company after a year away. And, once again, there is no Bray Wyatt to be found. Wyatt is widely considered one of wrestling's most talented storytellers, with his Wyatt Family and The Fiend personas getting significant accolades from fans and media alike.
Bray Wyatt was taken off WWE television and hasn't been seen since. WWE let Bobby Lashley win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale without him. Bray Wyatt's homecoming is anxiously awaited by fans. Bray Wyatt's whereabouts have been the subject of much conjecture in the last week or so due to his absence from the last several episodes of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
Still, it is not known when WWE's favourite "Fiend" appears on TV, but here we bring five superstars with whom Bray Wyatt can feud after he makes his return to WWE tapings.
5. Bobby Lashley
It's unfortunate that Bray Wyatt's injury disrupted the original plans for his feud with Bobby Lashley. However, with his return, WWE can certainly reignite the rivalry between the two superstars. Having Wyatt make his presence felt in Lashley's match at Backlash 2023 would be a compelling way to reestablish their unfinished business.
With Lashley as well not seen after losing his US championship it would be interesting to see how WWE reignites the feud between both the men, but if "The Almighty" and Eater of the World come face to face it would be a delight to watch two of the best guys working their way inside the squared circle.
4. Edge
The potential matchup between Bray Wyatt and Edge is indeed a dream encounter for many fans. On paper, it presents an ideal situation for Wyatt as he gets to share the ring with a legendary superstar like Edge. The involvement of Edge instantly brings a spotlight to the former WWE Champion, garnering significant attention and adding prestige to the feud.
One key advantage of having Edge in this matchup is his exceptional selling ability. Edge is renowned for his storytelling in the ring, bringing a high level of emotion and intensity to his matches. His skills as a seller could greatly enhance Wyatt's offense and overall presentation, making the Eater of Worlds look even more formidable and menacing.
Furthermore, both Wyatt and Edge are incredibly detailed storytellers. Their ability to weave intricate narratives and create layers of suspense and drama adds an extra dimension to their matches. This shared talent for storytelling could lead to a compelling feud with deep psychological elements, captivating fans with its complexity and depth.
3. Cody Rhodes
The potential rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Bray Wyatt is an enticing prospect that WWE should explore. Both men are at different stages in their careers compared to their previous time on the roster together, making it a fresh and intriguing feud. They are known for their dedication to storytelling and attention to detail, which aligns perfectly with a compelling storyline. Rhodes' excellent selling abilities would elevate Wyatt's status as an elite monster, creating impactful and memorable encounters. With their shared commitment to pushing storylines and delivering nuanced performances, Rhodes and Wyatt have the potential to create magic in the ring.
2. Roman Reigns
The history between Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns is a tale of rivalry and power struggles. In the summer of 2020, Wyatt claimed the Universal Championship from Braun Strowman, only to be ambushed by Reigns upon his return. Reigns swiftly seized the title, embarking on a dominant reign that continues to this day. Their past feud, marked by Wyatt's "anyone but you, Roman" sentiment, resonated with fans who questioned Reigns' relentless push.
Now, Wyatt has the opportunity to reclaim the spotlight and challenge Reigns' authority. He could argue that he allowed Reigns his power trip but is now back to disrupt the status quo. The extensive history between the two provides enough material for a compelling storyline. Wyatt must emerge victorious this time, adding an intriguing twist to their dynamic and altering the balance of power. The stage is set for a clash that could redefine both superstars and captivate the WWE Universe once again.
1. Randy Orton
Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt both have been out of WWE due to their injuries and illness. But, the interesting thing is that WWE might reignite Orton and Wyatt's rivalry which was over some years before.
But with both men not seen in all this time, there is a huge chance that WWE might reignite their rivalry starting with a new storyline, where Orton makes his return, simultaneously Bray Wyatt makes his return as well, creeping in every corner Orton goes. This might give a new start for both the men as both the superstars are excellent in-ring masters and have given some of the best matches in the organization.
