This will be a rubber match

Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes have been engaged in a long tailed feud since Raw after WWE WrestleMania. Where Cody Rhodes challenged Roman Reigns for a match after his previous day defeat. Which turned into a tag team match, with Brock Lesnar being Cody Rhodes’ partner to take on Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa.

At the main event, before the bell rang, Lesnar attacked Cody with a couple of F5. This resulted in a match at Backlash at Puerto Rico, where Cody Rhodes won by countering Kimura Submission into a pinfall. The match marked a scar on Lesnar’s eye and a bleed in the face.

When Cody turned his attention towards the newly unveiled World Heavyweight Championship, Lesnar returned and cost the match for Cody at the first round of the championship tournament. Lesnar had a brutal assault and broke his arm. Cody with a broken arm traveled to Saudi Arabia and fought the Beast, where Lesnar made Cody faint through submission hold resulting in a referee stoppage and win for Brock Lesnar.

With one win on each side, Cody challenged Brock Lesnar to a Rubber Match at SummerSlam to decide who has the upper hand. The match was expected to be inserted with a special stipulation but wasn’t, instead it is said to be held as a traditional one on one match. Now, a backstage report has emerged stating why there weren’t any stipulations for the match.

Why No-Stipulations for the Rubber Match at SummerSlam?

According to Fightful Select’s reports, there had never been any actual plans for the Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes match at SummerSlam. The idea to have a special stipulation was initially discussed, but it was agreed mutually that not to have one. After that, the plan was never brought to the conversation again.

There is no way that a special stipulation is added to the match at this point unless and until something occurs.
